Where next after Caya Leventado?

Having just returned from an amazing hol in caya leventado and am wondering where to go next Xmas ?

For the first time ever I am considering returning but just wondered where others, who are GBCL fans, have also enjoyed?

Cant afford Maldives again and have already been to Langkawi and Playacar in Mexico (both of which I would reccomend).

We visited one of the 'smaller' safari parks near Cape Town - obviously not on scale of Kruger but think Joseph would be more than happy there!

Hi, have you thought about other GBP hotels? My partner and I went to the GBP riviera maya mexico and stayed at the TULUM part of a huge resort split into 4 hotels of which You have full access too 3 of them, their's TULUM..AKUMAL.. And COBA these are the main hotels which are huge but there are Similar buggies as in cayo leventado too escort you around and it take around 5 minutes to get from one to the other which is good, they all have separate pools but TULUM has a private pool and breakfast area, each has its own restaurants and bars and all share a stunning beach with beautiful views. Their is also a golfers paradise across the main highway Which you are driven across too which is called Sian Kahn and its stunning to view, we went to have a look around but you can't really stay long if your Not booked into the Sian Kahn unlike the other three which u can use all of the facilities, this was my first GBP and AI holiday and I have raved about it for a year and several colleagues and family/Friends have been and stayed and are going back. My in-laws have made staying at COBA an Xmas tradition. Good luck with your search.

Dunes Resort, Margarita Island, Venezuela. Most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. You can go there for 2 weeks for the same price as 1 week in Punta Cana. Upgrade to the newer section, private pool, hot tub, snack bar and restaurant and you get to take advantage of all the other amenities on the resort also. It's a big resort, but a trolley runs every 10 minutes from the newer section to the main area of the resort. Everything about the resort is perfect, other than the undertow at the beach can be a little strong on some days. We took a day excursion and flew over to Canaimo National Park, 3 hour flight, spent the day seeing the most beautiful waterfalls that I have ever seen and did a fly by of Angel Falls, the tallest freefalling waterfall in the world, it's even higher than Niagara Falls. Look into it and do some research, if you decide to go there, you won't regret it.

Laurel H, problem with Margarita is that its very difficult to get to from UK.Used to be a destination for major tour op. but got dropped supposedly because of poor customer reviews.

Paulkeir81, agree that GBP Riviera Maya is very nice hotel but much ,much larger, beach is very small and gets very crowded - also sea is pretty rough so not a good comparison with Cayo Levantado or the Maldives.
