I'm somewhat curious too. But I'm assuming most if not all are just small rooms with a couple blackjack tables, some slots and maybe roulette. I wouldn't expect vegas. If they had poker I'd be more interested but something tells me there's none.

Me, too - since it sounds as though the casino at Ocean Blue may not be open when we go in April.

Hi there,

We were at the Bavaro Beach Resort and there is a casino there. Quite big compared to the other casinos I saw at other resorts. There are about 50 or more slot machines and poker tables. We didn't make much money there but it is enjoyable.

OOPS, I think at the Barcelo Beach, they only have Black Jack tables, not sure now. Fun place to go anyway.

I went to the Casino at the Riu Palace. Small, around 50 slots, 4 roulette tables, a few black jack tables $10 min. and a 3 card poker. They have Caribean Stud poker but do not play the bonus, the Blackjack tables have the any 20 but they do not play that either.

One night the 3 card poker filled up and they just used a blackjack table and played as if it had the 3 spots.

Quite loosy goosy compared to home - no problem with getting paid in US$, free drinks if you are gambling, some slots have info only in Spanish - its funny when you win and you don't know why.

My pet Peeve - Smoking Smoking Smoking - must shower after leaving as it is really bad on most nights.

Some people I spoke to went to other casinos and they said this one was nice.

We stayed at the Paradius last summer and they have a small casino, but as we were walking out to the Bavaro Plaza we asked what the new building was that was going up out side of the Paradisus and was told that it was their new casino. Any one been there yet? We like to do some gambling, 3 card poker and let it ride. Blackjack is OK, but we like someting a little more exciting. Any body have crap tables?

I will be going to Sunscape the Beach in April and one of the listed features is a free schuttle to the Secrets Excellence casino.

Anyone familiar with the Secrets casino? Also, is it a pretty simple thing to get to casinos at other resorts? (I'm a resort newbie!)
