Ok, so my friends and I were all set to fly Edmonton to Punta Cana Mar 24 via Toronto and return April 1. My travel agent contacted us yesterday to inform us that they are changing our flight to Mar 27. The travel agent is not sure if the flight was overbooked or if they just cancelled it outright. Now they are saying that they can get us from Toronto to Punta Cana (with a possible upgrade to "comfort" class) but they are not sure how they are getting us to Toronto and back. We may have to stay overnight in Toronto and they can't say if they will pay for a hotel or not! So aggravating! The only issue is that we may not arrive back home til very late April 3 and three of the four are teachers and have to return to work the next day. I just have to find someone to work an extra shift for me and tell the people I already got for relief that I'm taking two shifts back...that and replanning my daughter's birthday party! Okay, I'm done venting...has this happened to anyone else?
