How are the a la carte restaurants handled, are the reservations made for you, do you have a choice of times?

Are the club rooms closest to the beach?

The majestic website mentions all these extra perks for being in a club room, are they all provided, just curious but if they are not its not going to ruin my vacation.

You have satellite tv in your room so you should be able to watch the games onone of the sport channels. There are two restaurants that you have to make reservations for. You simply call the club lounge on the morning you want to go and they fit you in. The japanese one which was excellent...we ate there twice in one week. The other one is the gourmet one, the service wasgreat but we did not care for the food. Also as club members you can go to the gourmet restaraunt for breakfast and lunch and order from a menu. Only club members can do this. Most of the perks that they mention on the website are being offered. The one thing they do not have yet are the bali beds but they should have them early dec. It is great having your own personal butler because if you have a question or problem you call them and they are quick to help, a very nice personal touch. We had Ramon and he was excellent. I will try and post some pics later in the week.

We were wondering about the location and size of the new pools and how far away from the beach the club buildings actually run? ( It sometimes takes a few seconds to load this neat photo that I borrowed....) Posted it on another thread before I saw this one...

We did not eat at the club only restaurant for breakfast or lunch as we prefer the buffett as it faster...more time for the beach. We heard from others that it was good. The club buildings are 3 & 4, with 4 being closer to the beach and 3 being closer to the main buffett and lounge area. The new club lounge was built on the ground floor smack in between buildings three and four. The two new pools run parallel to each of these buildings. The pools are narrow but quite long each with it's own swim up bar and wonderfully comfortable loungers and nice showers. It is nice as everything is new. As far as room selection it depends if you want to be closer to the beach or main food area. We were in building three, floor four right in the corner so or balcony had a wonderful view of the gardens, pool and we liked it as you could hear all the nightlife going on. A bonus was we had the afternoon sun and could watch the sunset. Our room also had a valted ceiling which made the room seem even bigger. We spent most of our time at the beach. T hey have a roped off section for club members only and a beach bar just for this area. We had wonderful service right to our chairs, frequentand fast service. Now it was not full when we were there so during dec. It may be busier. We found all the staff exceptional. We made sure we did not let any little things spoil our vacation. We must remember we are not in Canada or the USA but in a third world country that is trying very hard to cater to our high standards. The food is wonderfully presented but not quite what we are used to at home. The beach is beautiful and the weather is warm....what more do you want :-)

Well said mom823 ! Alot of people do forget you are on vacation, relax and just go with the flow!!! Sounds like a nice new section they have made. Do you happen to know if there is Lobster to be had at the resort, any good, or somewhere close by? Our friend will be celebrating her birthday while we are there and that is one of her favourite meals.
