Juanillo Beach

I see from pictures that this beach looks amazingly quiet.

Do many people go to this beach? Is it really quiet like most of the pictures show it?

How safe is the beach?

1. Re: Juanillo Beach

We have been on Juanillo Beach several times over the past 3 years and it is normally quite quite during the week

At the weekend it is far busier as many locals come to use it

We have never felt unsafe there

Juanillo Beach is a very quiet and relaxed place, as very few locals use it since Cap Cana been built around it, as now it is for many difficult/for many impossible to visit/pass the maingate.

beautiful Beach for a relaxed afternoon if you life/stay nearby,

not worth a expensive cabby ride in case you stay at a different area of Punta Cana.

happy travels

No Fee to enter, no parking Fees.

you tell the Guards at the Maingate that you will visit Juanillo Beach, they most likely will ask the Driver for a ID which they keep and in you are.

on the way back you get the ID back and all is fine.

have Fun

Cap Cana is great, it just needs to get more lifely

wow.. do they really take your id?? I'm worried now if they want your id & keep it? What's the reason behind this?

Thanks Mike

the reason behind this is that they can assure that you leave the property again. in exchange for your ID you get a sign to bring on at your Car's mirror which states at which Area of the wide property you plan to visit, like for example Juanillo Beach or Marina etc etc.

don't worry about leaving a ID there at the Maingate, even every Cabby Driver and also the Transfer Bus Drivers who bring Guests to the Hotels on the Grounds have to leave their ID there and get the Sticker for the Mirror of their Bus/Vehicle.

they also keep the right to open your Trunk when leaving to check if you try to bring out anything of Value that may not be yours, no kidding, I observe that on daily bases as I am in Cap Cana mostly several times per day.

Security Level is high and that has it's positives, while at all other Areas in Bavaro/PC stuff from Boats get's stolen from inside the Boats even that the Doors are locked over night, at the CC Marina we leave even the valuable Tackle etc at it's place outside and never anything get's missing.

it's a private property with it's own private rulings.

the above may sound Harsh, but it isn't, it is all done in a nice and polite way, Staff are very friendly and helpful, you will always find a guard speaking english, too. they are just strict and clear on their rulings.

all that is available.

cap cana offers hotels like the Sanctuary, Marina Sands, Caleton Villas, Golden Bear Lodge, Eden Roc Villas, and it offers hundreds of Condominiums for rent of all sizes from 1 bedroom to 5 bedroom/5 BR appartments and also Villas which can sleep a whole wedding party with own pools/gradenrs/housestaff etc. of course you can also hire a private Chef there to get the kittchen running for the family.

no problem in case of safety, you can walk that beach area by any time of the night and will not be bothered by anybody, i don't think that our President is better guarded 24/7 than this area(the only other area on the same security level on the east coast is the right next door neighbour of Grupo Punta Cana(Punta Cana Resort&Club/Tortuga Bay, Arrecife/Los Corale, the property includes the PC Intl Airport which is also privately owned by them).

one point is on such properties of course not the case, that you can walk all distances without a vehicle, a rented GolfCart is on both those big properties(Vities Size) necessary to come around.
