Sirenis is 2 resorts into one tropical side to left and cocotal to right. I found that there is quite a bit of walking. The last time we stayed ocean side. Last building to the left ocean front. WE were far away from the amenities and was quite a walk.

Sometimes it seemed that was all I was doing.

Hope this helps as this a large resort.

Now we stay at Club Carabela as it is smaller and everything is close.

I just got back 2 days ago from Sirenis Cocotal/Tropical, The resort is quite large and there is a fair amount of walking to do. I would suggest you ask for a room maybe near the middle of the walkway where the rooms are located, that way you are half way inbetween the beach and the restaurants. I stayed in the main lobby TROPICAL A, which was close to the restaurants so the beach was kind of far. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good Luck!

Actually, the casino is on the Cocotal side of the resort. If you want to be close to the casino I would suggest you stay in the F building...its literally the back yard of that right next to the disco. It's not much of a casino anyhow, a few slots and a few tables in a fair sized room. Good Luck!!

Eskimo, are you heading to the Sirenis Tropical or Cocotal ? Havent seen your name posted lately. We went to the Flamenco and it was wonderful. Have stayed at the Tropical suites before and it is a large resort, lots of walking. It might aswell be just one big resort because the only difference is the Tropical Suites have larger rooms, you use the same restaurants and pools as everyone else.

Eskimo. That's a great price ! We were there 3 years ago with our girls so I'm sure alot has changed since we stayed. It was a very long bus ride, longer than what the book says ! We stayed in the Tropical side and we said if we ever went back we would stay in the cocatal for the difference in money. Food was good, Mexican was the best, Steakhouse, Seafood and Italian were alright. Was easy to get reservations. We had our girls and they would of only been 3 & 5 then and they brought them french fries and chicken nuggets at any of the a la cartes if they didnt want what was on the menu. Rooms were really nice, ours was by the "quiet" pool, almost ocean view. The theater was far from our room and quite dark, same shows as any resort. The casino was right before the theater. The beach was great, you can walk in both directions, we couldnt walk the one way because its beside a Secrets and kids arent allowed on their beach. There is a little market to the right of the resort on the beach ( facing the water, to your right, Secrets on your left ) I think the Sunscape the Beach is beside now, they were building it when we stayed there. The water is almost as nice as bavaro beach, you can see the reef just standing in the water, we had to watch our girls didnt swim into it. The beach is on abit of a slant in spots but never had a hard time finding a lounge and there are plenty of shaded spots. Drinks were great ! What else do you need ?!!! This was the first resort we took our girls to and every year since they ask to go back because they loved the pools. Now they know that other resorts have similiar pools that are closer to the airport, for those of us with weak stomach's !!

Ha lots of us heading out at the same time. We leave from Halifax on Monday the 27th. Has anyone heard what the dress is for the Al La Carte spots? We have been to other resorts where for the men it's long pants, long sleeve shirt, and shoes. No need to drag that all down there if it is not needed.

my husband wore pants to all the a la cartes when we were there. I do remember men wearing long cargo shorts to the Mexican, but all the others demanded pants.
