TA lost my review?

I wrote a review yesterday morning, it has been pending up until this afternoon and now it totally gone, not part of my profile anymore. No email sent to me. What happened? I had nothing bad, controversial or any sort of bashing in my review.

At least I saved it in a word document and can post it again, but what happened to it? Does TA delete reviews like this without any reason and email sent to originator often?

It will probably be up in a few days, if not, repost. No they sometimes just edit it a little, but never delete it.

Did you get a reply from TA asking you to verify the review was your and did you action it?

Have you checked your SPAM filter

Here it is (review of Excellence Punta Cana):

Background:

In the past, for major trips we vent to France twice(continental and Corsica), Costa Rica, Canadian Rockies, St-Lucia, Mexico and Jamaica(not in order). We do like good dinning and nice amenities, and having a good taste of local culture and food.

That specific trip was for relaxation. We left our kids 1.5 and 3 y.o. to the grand parents for a much needed vacation, last one without kids was 3 years ago.

Flight:

This as noting to do with the resort, but it was a good flight with good service and 15 minutes early on each legs with Sunwing.

Transfer:

The transfer from airport to Excellence took about 1:15 mostly under the rain, so could really appreciate our way to hotel, but on the way back it was great to see the local stores, houses and land. We didn't find the road to be bad or bumpy. We considered the roads to be in really good shape for that type of country.

Reception:

It was really pouring rain and another big bus arrived at the same time we did. So, check-in was OK, but nothing special with so many person to check in at the same time.

We were escorted to the Excellence club for check-in with about 7 other couples, so even at the club they were a bit overloaded. Still not a bad experience considering the number of guest they had to accommodate all at once. A smaller number would have likely made the experience really great as we saw from a couple that arrived next day, while we were in the club, and were really pampered by the club staff.

Room:

We got room 11004, a Excellence club "swim-up" ocean view junior suite, which was a nice room in a good location for our taste. We had email Roberto before departure to request either building 14 or 11, to be in a quiet area, which is what we got.

The room is good size, not huge, with a king size four poster canopy bed, Jacuzzi tub, separate room for shower and toilet. Our patio door opened to a private terrace with a hammock and nice bushes/hedges/flowers and palm trees providing direct access to the pool, but not really a swim-up if that's what you are looking for(we new that ahead).

Grounds:

The grounds are REALLY nice and very well maintained, with ponds, fountains, flowers, bushes and palm trees everywhere (which makes even the garden view rooms interesting to stay in). Lots of paths to explore for nice walks and visual enjoyment. Excellence also has a Ecological Garden, again with ponds, bushes, flours and palm trees, but also has flamingos, ducks, peacocks(which are also go all over the resort), chickens, wild birds, etc. Very nice to walk in that garden.

Beach:

The beach is very wide and deep, with lots of palapas and palm trees. We never hap problems finding shade at the beach anytime of the day. It seems like only 50% of the palapas were ever used, or reserved, at the same time so lots of choice. The palapas in front of the swimmable section going 1st, but we don't think that having to walk 30 seconds to get to the swimming area is an issue. The Beach sand is light tan in color, not white, very soft without any rocks or shell in it, very nice to walk in. The sea has waves in front of the resorts, and it's nice to play in or do "body/buggy" boarding. If you want to really swim or snorkel you can walk about 300 metres to the right and get to really calm water protected by reefs (a sign at the entrance of the beach also state so). The beach is also ideal for long walks. You can walk for 25-30 minutes on the right before seeing another resort and nothing on the left side with the exception of an resort for sale about 35 minutes away.

Food:

The food was very good and with lots of options. The 8 restaurants were opened every night and all "a al carte" with no reservation required. We had diner around 7:15 and never had to wait at any restaurants. The wait seems to start around 7:45-8:00, but isn't long(around 15 minutes) from the people we talk to. We liked a all we had with a preference for Chez Isabel(french) and Agave(Mexicain). The breakfast buffet at Toscana was good, but we didn't care too much for the one time we tried the breakfast at the Lobster House. We had lunch most times at Toscana(buffet for lunch) which had a great selection and different options everyday.

Pools:

Excellence has 2 pools: the main pool and a more quiet pool surrounded by building 1,2,4,5 and the restaurant "Chez Isabel". We saw the second pool but never used it. As for the main pool, which runs from building 14 up to the lobby(very long and parallel to the ocean), it was a really nice winding pools. It has quiet sections, active sections(around swim up bar) and semi-active sections. You have a sections for every tastes.

Staff:

The staff is very friendly and accommodating to all your needs. You only need to ask (politely, as you would like to be asked) and you get all you want with a nice smile and nice words. The even surprise you with un-expected stuff. We came back to our room twice with our tub filled with water, bath foam and nicely decorated with flowers. Another day we got champagne with chocolate dipped strawberries. Nice touches!

Negatives:

Not much here worth mentioning. You are in a tropical country with very humid weather, so yes it can be hard on buildings and equipments(specially the way some use it), but the staff will fix anything broken has they find out or told about. Perfection doesn't exist anywhere, but you can still get close to perfection vacation here.

Overall:

We really liked our week stay at Excellence and would highly recommended it to any one who wants to enjoy a nice beach, good food, friendly staff.

You might want to provide more info on what you like and don't like. Do you want very quick access to restaurants, beach, swim-up bar, don't car walking, etc.? Every one has different needs, we got what we wanted, but that might not be for you.
