Wow girl!

Its amazing that we've been talking to our voice mails so much all week, and haven't been able to organize for us to meet properly!

And I say "properly", because the only way I finally got to "meet" baltobabe, was finding out the taxi driver's cell number she and her group where with.... and catching up with him at about nineish in the middle of a pitch dark road just to give her a surprise on her birthday!!!

(Later on I thought about it and I guess I gave you the scarest moment of your live!!!

Imagine!, This taxi driver speaking in sapnish on his mobile, turning around in the middle of the darkest road, and then stopping on the ditch besides another car....hahahaha! You should have seen your faces when he opened the door!!!!! specially your eyes wide open !!! )

Monica, you brat! You obviously gave her such a surprise on her birthday that she needs time to get over the shock so she can post again ;-)

I've actually got some interest from a couple of girlfriends who want to make a trip to the DR with me - either later this year or sometime next year. Guess they've heard of my plans for next spring with my hubby (one full month in the DR!!) and now they're all asking me for websites, information etc. I may have started a new west coast trend (since most folk from these parts hit either Hawaii or Mexico)

Andújar is one of the top dominican painters and his work is famous overseas. He is one of the very few whose paintings are only sold at art galleries, and his style is famous for being very country dominican traditional, always painting markets and country people.

Milachkaa, BB is now in Punta Cana. She was at Dreams, then moved to Edenh and I believe today went to Sunscape Punta Cana....that gal really moves when she's partying!!

Does anyone else know how the weather is over there?

I heard that there were big storms predicted for the 4 days at the end of this week and told a Dominican friend that 2 nights ago. They had heard nothing of it. After reading your note I asked the same friend how the weather was today. In the Bayahibe area it's great! A bit of rain for a short while but it passed--as it usually does, but not always--and the day was mostly sunny and hot.

It may still turn over the weekend, but so far so good!
