my bf and i are going in november too, two weeks starting the 6th to palladium. i've been everywhere on the net trying to find information...and i have had no luck yet. according to my travel guy, everything is fine, but can i really trust that. i even tried e-mailing the hotel and received no respose. i really hope the beach isnt ruined..we also want to go snorkling. let me know if you hear anything.

I actually found a reply from another posted message. The guy listed all of the hotels that were damaged and ones that weren't and the Grand Palladium Bavaro Resort & Spa was one listed as not being damaged by the storm. We will both have to keep our fingers crossed but I have a feeling the beach will not be what we would like it to be, but who knows...I'm sure by the time November comes around it'll pretty much be back to normal for our resort! : )

Hi friends.. My wife and I just returned from Palladium on Sept 18th. The Hotel suffered slight damage from the Hurricane nothing really major. The were a lot of palm trees that fell down, water came into some of the rooms minimal amounts, the Main lobby was saturated with Water....but nothing major. I must say out of all the resorts I had the chance to see this One came back to normal very quickly. By the time we left things were well enough that I wish Apple vacations wasn't evacuating us. We had two more days left at the resort and we really wanted to stay. So , I'm pretty sure things will be great...palladium is pretty good resort there's a lot to do...if it had better food I would call it great. I hope you a have junior suite because the standard rooms are not not much, a bed and a small bathroom ..that's it. The junior suite on the other hand is to die for....the jacuzzi and double sinks are well worth the price. Well friends good luck....I'm pretty sure you will have a great time...make sure you go the sports bar is and order a burger it's the best!

Thank you for the information. It's too bad everyone has to worry so much about their upcoming vacations in this region. Sorry to hear that your trip was cut short but I'm glad to hear that your wife and yourself had a great time.
