My sister and I (and husbands) are taking our families (kids ages 2, 4, 5, 6) to the DR this summer. We want a place where the service is good, comfortable rooms, no wrist bands, decent food, and a beach with calm water for the kids to wade in and out of. I'm mostly concerned about the waves. I heard Gran Bahia Principe is a little more upscale than the Casa Del Mar but it seems much wavier. We are travelling at the end of July. Any thoughts or better suggestions?
