My husband and I and 3 other couples vacationed @ Sun Village March 6-13 (2007). In an effort to answer your inquires, the daytime activities take place at the "Activity Pool" near the beach. Volleyball matches 2-3 times daily, Merengue lessons, Spanish lessons, and a game called "Superstar". That's really the extent of the daytime activities.

As for evening entertainment, the young people who work as activities directors throughout the day also perform at night in the "Theater". There was a magic show, but mostly dance presentations each night. Nothing extraordinary. Each night the underground disco "Opus" offers a theme (Tropical party, Beach party, 70's disco, and karaoke). I'm not sure of your age group, but most of the people at the disco are quite young (20's...........................I'm 40.)

We live in Southwest PA so we were happy to simply be out of the cold and snow! We spent the majority of our time at the "Adult" pool near the bar. We really enjoyed the chaise lounges @ the perimeter of the pool.

There are pools EVERYWHERE! There is a pool near "The Spa" that is serene & peaceful; just depends on what your mood is for the day.
