Can someone who has stayed at Casa Del Mar in La Romana tell me exactly what the tennis fees are per person and if it is difficult to get on a court daily? We are getting ready to book a trip there in June and the info. is vague on the fees. Thanks for any help you can give!

Deb,

The only fee I am aware of is for private lessons:

Tennis Center

Our tennis center staffed with trained professionals. Open daily from 8:00am to 8:00pm. Try your backhand on our 2 lighted soft courts. Tennis professional is available for tournament play or private lessons. (*extra fee for private lessons) Stop by our tennis center for a full listing of the weekly tournaments and daily events.

This is from the website.

I have sent an email to my contacts with your post...soon as I hear back I will let you know

That depends on what you want to do. Do you know and I'll confirm the prices?

If you use the services of one of the on-site pros, there is one price for that. If you use the resort's equipment, you will have to put a deposit down on it or pay for insurance. A ball boy is available too, for a fee.

If you bring your own racquets and balls and just want to use a court, you are good most of everyday. I've never seen both courts in use in the same time.

I have a couple of pictures of the courts and the rules posted at …webshots.com/photo/2236854760064234328rfZmuU

If you'd like more info, please let me know.

We'll be taking our own rackets/balls, but just wanted to make sure there wasn't a per hour fee per player to surprise us. Doesn't sound like it will be a problem. (not that a fee would have been a deciding factor) Tomorrow, I think I'll be booking our first trip to the Carribean in June! (first time out of the U.S., in fact) I've looked at many of the posted pics from you and "baltobabe". Thanks for sharing!

Deb I just got this back from CDM:

I was informed by guest services that during the day guests do not need

to pay a fee to play tennis. At night, after 8pm there is a charge of

10$us per hour (use of the lights on the court)

Hope this helps,

bb/mt
