Can anyone please give details of this tour? Just wanting to know what it entails. I looked on her website and the info was quite vague. Thanks!

Giving this a bump......
Anyone experienced this?
Sorry never heard of it and I go to Curacao once per year. Whats the website -I can check it out or ask friends locally about it. Small island so someone should know this!
Sorry I'm of no help here, never did her tour.
I did do one of her cooking sessions with a group of our friends, which was a blast. We all drank way too much wine and had a lot of fun. Everyone was put to work and you had to make your own three course dinner. Tasty too!
Just-facts-here,
Was this local food and how much was it aprox.? Sounds nice to do next time!
Actually, she does a minimum of a certain amount of people (our group was 15) and then it is said amount per person depending on your menu. I'm sure she is flexible in her menu and that local food is probably an option. In our case we decided our menu together with Angelica, she made suggestions after we told her our preferences. And then of course the price would depend a little if your having salmon or chicken. It's been too long for me to remember exactly what we paid, it was reasonable enough to do it once and expensive enough not to do it too often.
Hello!
I was just in Curacao in July, and did the culinary tour. It was fantastic. Clarita was our guide, and I get the impression that Angelica doesn't do the culinary walks herself any more. The tour starts with fruit smoothies, and you then go all around the city on a walk, that basically is as much a historical tour as anything. After stopping at the synagogue, you head over to the floating market, and then through another market before having an amazing meal at what she refered to as the market, in my pictures the building says,
"plasa bieu"? There was lots of different types of food bubbling away in big pots. It was really good....... If it is your first time to Curacao, you can just consider the walk your own tour of Willemstad. Clarita was very informative, and the tour was one of the highlights of my trip. I would have done the cooking class as well, but Angelica's kitchen is closed right now for renovations.
Torin,
Thank you very much for the recommendation. Did you book the tour in advance and how did you do so? Thanks again.
No problem!
I booked the tour through the website, and when I was in Curacao, Angelica called me at my hotel to confirm. That was a very nice touch, because she did not have to do that.....
You will not regret taking this tour, I felt it was excellent value for money, and Clarita was the best!!
Enjoy!
Any recent reports on this? Is the kitchen still closed, as it's website says:
Price: $ 45 per person with lunch at the Old Market or $ 70 per person with hands-on lunch at Angelica’s Kitchen.
I don't know if that means you do the walk *and* the cooking instruction at the restaurant?
If it's not the full on "class" - is the class worth it, and does anyone know what kind of foods you prepare?
