Hello again, Just wanted to know how the money thing works, i have heard that you can't get the currency in the UK and am unsure of what to take? Should it be English Pounds? Also, what trips are available at PRDO, we’re going with Thomas cook and just wanted to know what trips they have, the cost and which are the best to go on, Thanks again for all your help Report as inappropriate |

We took sterling and changed it in stages at the hotel when we needed it. We were also advised that we could take Euros and change them if you have any spare from your last holiday?? There's a safe in your room so we left our money in there before we changed it. There are loads of trips on offer. Can I recommend the trip run by the activity centre at PRDO which goes to a local fishing village. You get to see a little bit how the Cuban's live and its a very humbling experience. It was only about 7 pesos each. Other than that we did the catamaran cruise to the dolphins which was quite expensive but a good day out and worth it for swimming with the dolphins. The rep will go through all at the welcome meeting. Have a great time, its an amazing place and I can't wait to go back! Report as inappropriate

If you want the added security of travellers cheques, just like cash both sterling and euros are acceptable, just make sure the issuer of the cheques is not affiliated to an american bank/company i.e american express. Report as inappropriate
