Can anyone who has travelled to these places convince me which one is better to go to and why? Having a hard time deciding.

If I had to go back to Cuba, it would have to be a free trip. I would choose Paradisus Varadero over Hicacos. Stayed at Hicacos, which is next door to Paradisus. Toured Paradisus and talked to vacationers there. We would have moved to Paradisus if we could have arranged a move. Everything at Paradisus looked to be a step above Hicacos including the food, which is vey important to us and is the reason not to return to Cuba.

Hi Sensei!

I've never travelled to either place before. However, I've booked a package to Paradisus Rio de Oro (PRDO) in June for those obvious reaons:

-For many, this is the most "rounded", best resort in Cuba;

-They have a nice promotion for double occupancy (around 1400 $ in June);

-They don't change any single supplement, which is useful since I'm travelling alone.

PRDO is probably the cheapest best place I could book in June. So, I'm giving it a try. ;)
