Holiday in Prospect

I've been reading all the really useful tips posted for us first timers in Barbados and cannot wait for our holiday - but would be grateful if the experts could advise and let us benefit further from their local knowledge.

We'll be staying at Sunny Banks (which I know will be quiet but suits us) - but do we need a car?? If we used the bus/taxi to go out in the evening would we need to pre-arrange a taxi to get home or is easy enough to find one?

Many thanks

We have stayed in Prospect quite a few times and just used the bus service to come and go even at night, the bus stop was very close to our apartment.

You don't need a car for your entire stay. You can however get a car for a couple days to do some island exploring. You'll find a great bus service along the West Coast and the fare is only $2 BBD per person. You'll find taxis stationed in all major tourist zones during the day and at night. If you're at a restaurant, your waiter will glady call a taxi for you.

Regards
