Hi kinnie

thats going to depend on your skin tone as well as the sun.

Should be lovely weather that time of year. To give you an indication i have olive skin and tan fairly easily. I went to barbados last August for two weeks, i took factors 25, 15, 8 & 4, and used all those factors!

And if you plan to be out in it for long periods i would definatley start high, better that way than to burn and have to stay inside ;-)

I ditto Setoma.......for a gauge I would say whatever you use here in UK on a blistering day times by three and knock up to the highest nearest grade.

i.e.... 4 times 3 = 12 so go for 15

........10 times 3 = 30 so go for 30 or even 35.....even if thick cloud you will still need good protection :)...seriously...and on your first say 4 or 5 days add more to your gauge.

I am in keeping with the others on this one

I am fair skinned and go nut brown in Barbados. I allways wear a high factor suncream and even on the last week no lower than 15 even on cloudy days. haven't burnt yet but come home looking great.

have a great time
