Not to my knowledge. But I do know that the owner died a couple of years ago and I heard rumors that the property may have been for sale. But so far as I know, it's still operating as a going guest accommodations.

Not that it may remain so. The Marley Beach Cottages property is directly adjacent to the SOUTHLANDS property (to the west)...from the South Road down to the surf....and if the proposed new Southlands development get the go ahead to build their mega-resort, they may just make whoever owns Marley Beach Cottages an '..offer they can't refuse..'.

It's unofficially been 'for sale' for a while now- one of the worst kept secrets around. But I don't know if there are any seriously interested parties or if anything is happening on that front.

Since 2004-05 when the original owner became sick and died. The rumor was that they knew that the adjacent Southlands property would be developed sooner rather than later and tacked a whopping big premium on the asking price.

Do you have a direct URL web address for Marley Beach Cottages ?? The one I used to have (http://www.netlinkbermuda.com/marley/ ) has been disconnected/out-of-service for at least a year or so (though the property has continued to operate as usual) and I've never been able to find a new one.

www.marleybeachcottages.com was the address I had. I wrote to the email contact shown on www.bermudatourism.com but received no response.

I haven't used it for a while. I had suggested Marley Beach Cottages to a friend seeking accomodations in Bermuda for next month and found the website showed the property was closed. I had thought perhaps someone in Bermuda would know if the property was closed.

Yes, Marley is closed. We have stayed there for the past few years (family vacation renting three adjacent units) When we tried to rebook for 2007 they told us they'd be closing. We've booked at Surf Side for 2007. Very disappointed both at the closing of Marley and at what has been planned for Southside.
