Im so excited! Trip is booked for end of June, into July!!!! We picked the Oceanfront Executive suite...Only thing is we couldnt get the second floor...I guess it wont matter anyway....Has anyone sayed in this room? its a littler larger then the Ocean Front Junior suite....Counting the days till I land in Bermuda..... |

Congratulations, Bermuda! I will certainly have to pull up the website for Pink Beach Club. I have already read most of the reviews and looked at pics here on TAdvisor. We, too, will get back to Bermuda, one day.....hopefully sooner rather than later. We've had our one year anniversary planned for quite awhile now. We're going back to St. John, and have booked a villa this time around (which is something I've always wanted to try). Keep up posted on things, as your trip gets nearer! I still look at the Bermuda Forum quite a lot. :-) Deb58

Thanks! Really looking forward to it since we went to Jamaica last yr for our 1st anniversary..I hope I like it as much as Cambridge Beaches..I think the best part will be the beaches...I read some complaints, but then again I read them about CB too...and we loved CB..Some people just are never satisfied...We chose this to for the location..Only 15 minutes each way to St George's and Hamilton...They also do some boat excursions with FantaSea..Like the glass bottom night cruise ...I've never done that yet..and great snorkeling with free equipment...I love Bermuda, so I think I will love it no matter what..Post your report when you go to St. Johns...Thats another destination on my list..Caneel Bay looks great too...

Hi BermudaObsessed, You may be able to put yourself on a waiting list for a top floor room. Many people make reservations and then cancel tham as the the time nears. While the upstairs room may be booked now, it may free up closer to the time of your trip. I would e-mail the front desk on a fairly regular basis to see if anything opens up, if that's what you have your heart set on. And if not, downstairs can be very nice too. As you say, your still in Bermuda! Congratulations! Very happy for you. We all know how much you love Bermuda

>>> Pink Beach Club......Only 15 minutes each way to St George's and Hamilton.<<< Perhaps more like 20-25 minutes to downtown Hamilton and 25-30 minutes to downtown Saint George's from Pink Beach Club.

KD Sail. Ok..from what I read people said 15 minutes..But 20-30 is still better...At CB , being at the opposite end cab fares were really high...Do you think we should take the pink buses, or use the cabs? How much do you think a cab ride is for a 20 -30 minute ride, about 30$ each way?? we plan on just going to St George, and Hamilton on 2 separate days..I heard there are walking tours in St George, maybe we can do that Daffy, Thanks!..The booking person put me on a waiting list, and said if someone cancels I can have the upper level...

Wonderful! Let me know if it happens.

My first stay in BDA was at Pink Beach. We loved it..very restful. The food was not as memorable at The Reefs or Cambridge Beaches but very good. Ann Phelan

>>>But 20-30 is still better...At CB , being at the opposite end cab fares were really high...Do you think we should take the pink buses, or use the cabs?<<< Either taxis or buses will do quite nicely....depending on time of day or circumstance. There's a bus stop right near the PINK BEACH CLUB entrance on the South Rd. When you stayed at Cambridge Beaches, you first had to get from the property out to Mangrove Bay Rd...which was either a bit of a hike..or a wait for a CB shuttle to drive you. If during the day, then the regular #1 Hamilton-Grotto Bay-Saint George's bust route will serve you well...with bus frequency running at approx 1-every-30 minutes in either direction. But in the evenings, #1 bus service ceases....so taxis become your prinary mode of transportation if you don't ride rental motorscooters. Even then '..circumstances..' will often dictate. My wife has no difficulty driving her own scooter at any time of day or night....but if we're going out to a better restaurant for dinner, she prefers not arriving with '..helmet hair..' or '..road splatters..' on the hems of her skirts (my suggestion that she ride in her underwear did not meet with quite the amusement it was originally intended)...and so we'll often take taxis. Taxi fares to Front St. in dowetown Hamilton will probably run $18-20....to the Square in downtown Saint George's will probably run $25...to Cambridge Beaches, knock perhaps $8-10 off of whatever your airport-to-CB taxi fares were.

Thank you so much for the information!

caribchicikita, Did you mean the food was not as good as the Reefs or CB or better then? I think you meant not as good..What room did you stay in?
