I've read a lot of posts and I have some questions about these two properties.

Does the water at the beach at Ariel have a few rocks here and there or is it very rocky that you cant make a easy entry/exit ?

Obviously the rooms at Coco need some updating from what I read. Are they just a bit dated and need some new decor or is it cheesy and run down enough that you're not sure you want to get into bed? I dont want to sleep/shower somewhere that makes my skin crawl !!

Any input would be appreciated !

Thanks,

IslandGirl

The beach area at ARIEL SANDS is open, with an open, gradual slope, without any rocks at all. The water here is relatively shallow. Approximately 50 yards offshore, there is a 'spur; of reef that runs parallel to the beach, that protects it...making for generally smooth / flat water, with mild surf. Poised on a rock out at this reef is the life-size bronze statue of Ariel, the water nymph, that the hotel takes its name from To the left of this beach area, there is a '..pool..' (more of a swimming 'tank') that has been built of poured-concrete, that is open to the ocean, filling and renewing naturally. This 'tank' also helps to protect the shoreline.

If you use the www.google.com '..IMAGES..' feature, and Search for images of '.."Ariel Sands", Bermuda..', you will find candid photos of the beach area at Ariel Sands to better understand the arrangement. There are also some past guest photos and reviews of Ariel Sands at the listing for the hotel at this TA web site--

Thanks KDKSAIL,

We've decided on Ariel - it seems like the safer bet.
