Now that I'm here, I can answer my own question. My "Fairmont room" on the 2nd floor is lovely. It is recetnly redecorated and looks exactly like the pictures at the hotel's web site. The "partially obsturcted" view is this: looking straight out the glass doors to the balcony, there is a wooded hill to the right and the harbor in the distance to the left. Looking down to the right one sees the top of the restaurant, but sitting on a chair and looking out, the sky and harbor form a lovely panorama. I'm very pleased with the room.
