Please advise your preference/experience with these two properties. Trip will be my wife and I. Main interest is comfort and privacy - will book a suite and would like info on Pointe Suite at Reefs vs Governor or Ambassador Suite at PBC.

Thank you.

My parents just came back from the Reefs with my aunt and uncle and they LOVED it! They are definitely going to go back to The Reefs next year. Like in most of Bermuda hotels the rooms can be a tad outdated but it still was 5 star all the way (they didn't stay in any of the remodeled rooms (Point Suites?) but the remodeled suites are supposed to absolutely wonderful). Also, The said the views were to die for and they especially loved all their meals. The Reefs has the best reputation for food of all the hotels. When I was planning the trip for my parents I posted a message on this board asking everyone if I shoud book The Reefs, Pompano, Pink Beach Club, or Cambridge Beaches and I got a lot of replies and I think everyone of them said The Reefs. Many thought it was a close call but said that if we were looking for a boutique luxury 5 star hotel experience then it has to be The Reefs. Plus a lot of people posted how amazing the food was there. My parents had a slightly more expensive room on the cliff side but close to the pool and my aunt and uncle had one of the cheapest rooms overlooking the pool, and although they didn't think they would, they all thought the cheaper room overlooking the pool was better room of the two.

Good Luck!

Caboose....

We just returned from the Reefs yesterday......and like the previous poster, we absolutely loved it. We stayed in a Horizon Jr. Suite (top floor),and our view was incredible. We saw the Pointe Suite.....from the outside.....and it supposedly offers an even better view.

I really dont know anything about Pink Beach Club, so cannot offer any constructive opinion....but the Reefs is top notch.....from the view, to the service, to food.......we really enjoyed our stay, and also want to plan a return visit. it might not be next year, but we will definitely return..

As a 5 time 'REPEATER' at The Reefs it's the only property on Bermuda that my wife will consider.

Every superlative you have heard/read is true.

Service, view, staff, food all top notch.

We've stayed in a variety of their rooms, from pool to cliff side.

No matter what one you are in, there are great views.

In conclusion, go for The Reefs, you will not be disappointed.

We're heading back next year.

P.S. if you are looking for a Caribbean destination, try Nisbet Plantation in Nevis, The Reefs sister resort, fantastic.

Thank you all for your replys. We'll stay at Reefs. With your experiences in Bermuda, do you have concern about the safety/crime issues which have been discussed in other posts?
