I hope the repairs are completed quickly without delay for passengers and local business.
Princess Cruises has canceled an upcoming call in Bermuda due to the unavailability of berth space.
A spokesperson for the line tells USA TODAY the Emerald Princess' April 29 visit to the destination will not take place because the wharf the ship had been scheduled to use is undergoing repairs.
Princess is the first cruise line to cancel a call in Bermuda since repair work began on the destination's Heritage Wharf.
Earlier today, the Bermuda Sunreported that two other cruise ships scheduled to tie up at Heritage Wharf next month -- Oceania's 1.250-passenger Riviera and the 2,550-passenger MSC Poesia -- instead will anchor off shore because of the repair work, forcing passengers to tender from ship to shore.
