We are planning to book a room at the Munro Beach. Is there any restaurant near the Munro? Do we need to take a taxi to other restaurants? This will be our first time in Bermuda, need suggestions..... Thanks.

MUNRO BEACH COTTAGES-- http://www.munrobeach.. The nearest restaurant that I can think of to it will be the dining rooms at the POMPANO BEACH CLUb, just anout next doorI can't recall the relative distance from the Munro Beach property to the Pompano propert but it would be '.. walkable..".

I don't recall any restaurants out along that stretch of the South Road..but even by bus, it will be a pretty good hike (albeit a lovely one walking across the golf course) out to and back from the South Road bus stops.

Greg's Steakhouse, at the Port Royal Golf course (which is literally steps from Munro) was excellent by our estimation. The service and the meal were superb.....Greg, himself presented our wine. The prices were also outstanding by Bermuda standards, especially for the wine.

Beyond that, I concur that there is not much at all else on that portion of the South Road, not within walking distance that is. The Salt Rock Grill in Somerset Village was recommended by Greg, but sadly, we did not make it there during our stay.
