I had a friend who stayed at The Newstead several years ago. I have not been able to find any updated information about it.

Work is supposedly under way at the Newstaed property---with the usual developer/planning disagreements. Completion dates usually hinge on how many extra un-planned condos re-developers can re-negotiate out of local planners and how many fewer promised hotels rooms they can get away with--
Thank you KDKSAIL for your report on The Newstead. I have a lovely card that shows the rooms, etc. It looked lovely; too bad I will not see it. The newspaper article was excellent.
