This is your honeymoon? Re-book for the Elbow, you won't regret it. I have stayed at both, 3 times Elbow, and 16 times the Coco Reef, when it was the Stonington Beach Hotel. We stayed at the latter because it was a little less expensive and was smaller. But from what I understand, the Elbow has been completely refurbished (it is a Mandarin oriental Hotel now, also) and is gorgeous and the service top notch. While the Coco Reef is nice, and you can use the facilties at the Elbow because they are right beside each other, hopefully, this will be your one and only honeymoon, so splurge a little and get the better of the two. The rooms at the Coco are ordinary rooms with ordinary bath facilities. Check out the candid pictures on tripadvisor of both hotels, notice the ones of the coco don't include any of the rooms. And I would guess you're going to be spending some time in the room, right? Just make sure you're getting a refurbished room at the Elbow.

Well, it's the same beach so that won't be a part of your decision.

I do think Elbow Beach is WAYYYYYYYYY more expensive than Coco Reef. And if you stay at Elbow, you need to stay in the rooms that have already been refinished. The other rooms are not suppose to be to nice.

They are two different types of hotels. Coco Reef is small, I think only one restaurant. Elbow Beach has a few restaurants, a dance club, bars, etc.

The view from the deluxe beachfront room at Coco Reef is said to be spectacular. It really depends what you want to spend and if you really want more to do right at your hotel. That is not really necessary in Bermuda. You are just a short taxi ride away from town from both hotels and they are right next door to each other.

I think you will be happy with either hotel.

I'm not an advocate of '..wasteful thrift..' but....assuming a significant price difference between COCO REEF and ELBOW BEACH.... SAVE dollars per night and stay at Coco Reef...and then SPEND those dollars you've saved on an extra night...or three...on Bermuda. You're not honeymooning at either the Coco Reef or Elbow Beach hotels....you're honeymooning on '...RESORT BERMUDA....'......so stretch the amount of time you can spend on Bermuda as much as you can. You won't regret it.

Me, again. Your question was Elbow or Coco. I have stayed at both. If I were a bride again, I'd prefer the Elbow. However, if there is a huge difference in the cost, stay with the Coco as you will be very comfortable and the views are the same or better, depending on the room. As a honeymooner, the room does make a difference- I don't know if they still do it, but the coco, when it was the Stonington, had king size beds which were two beds pushed together with a strip in the middle to connect them. No t bad for us because we had already been married at least ten years and wanted to save some money. Don't get me wrong, I would recommend the Coco over the Elbow if this were a vacation you were going on, but as this is your honeymoon, you may feel that the facilities are a little sparse, esp. if you visit the Elbow and see the difference. As previously noted, we have stayed at Elbow 3 times, Stonington, 16. But if money had been no object, we would have gone back to the Elbow many more times. The Stonington treated us like family, but of course, it was taken over and changed to the Coco. I'm not sure where we would stay if we went to bermuda again. We have been 21 times. You will absolutely love it. So many memories, all of them good. And the beaches- some of the best in the world. Maybe you should ask your bride what she thinks. Aren't you trying to please her? She may not care either way.Whatever you choose you will have a great time because it is Bermuda. On our first trip to Bermuda I actually cried when we left, and this after having been to Hawaii the year before. That's how wonderful it is. Have a great trip!!!
