Honeymoon - Aruba & curacao

Hiya

Still trying to plan the honeymoon!

Can anyone give me some advice please?

Thinking of book Riu for 2 weeks or do you think 7 nights in Aruba and 7 nights in Curacoa?

Has anyone been to both? Is it worth trying a different island and if not Curacoa any suggestions of another island? Or shall we stick to Aruba for the durration. If not can we do a day trip. Is this worth it?

We are coming from England and want to make the most of it.

Sorry for all the questions! Spending lots of money and want it to be a trip to remember!

We are doing NYC as a stopover so we might need to relax...

Thanks everyone. xx

We're not going to Curacao until 04/08.

Splitting it sounds like a pretty good idea, though.

From what I hear - they're very different island.

Each with its own personality.

Maybe you could do 9 nights Aruba and 5 Curacao.

Enjoy.

We're staying at the Marriott in Curacao.

(We always stay at the Marriott in Aruba, too.)

Have you been over to the Curacao board to see if you find it something you'd like to try?

In my mind...since I've been to Aruba in the past...I feel like 9-10 days on Aruba and then a quick plane ride to Curacao for the duration would be ideal.

And NYC, too! Wave to me!

How exciting.

What an amazing honeymoon!

Thanks so much!

Had a look at the Marriott and looks fab!

Are there direct flights from NYC to Curacoa do you know?

Will get on that forum now!

Been to NYC before and love it...

Yes it is gonna be an amazing honeymoon! Wanna make it perfect.

xx

I know Newark flies direct to Curacao every Saturday morning on Continental.

Not sure about NYC, though.

Try Orbitz.com - that will pull up a lot of flight info for you.

It doesn't look like JFK or LaGuardia are going straight to Curacao. Like I said, Newark will.

Perhaps go from NYC to Aruba and then on to Curacao?

Thats exactly what I am gonna do! I can't wait!!!

Sorry to keep on but when you go to Marriott Curacoa are you staying on a room only plan or the Inclusive plan?

What is your advice on this? x

We will not do AI at the Marriott in Curacao.

I'm not a big fan of AI in general (especially not in Aruba).

We're doing AI in Mexico, but it makes sense for that particular situation/vacation.

Curacao Marriott definitely doesn't seem to have enough dining/bar options to make it worthwhile.

Portofino is the only upscale restaurant they seem to have and I've heard it's maybe just above average.
