Renaissance Island - Alcohol?

We're looking at staying in the Renaissance Aruba hotel for spring break. It doesn't appear that they have a beach directly attached to the hotel; rather you have to boat it out to their private island.

Does anyone know if the private island serves alcohol? It sort of defeats the purpose for us if it doesn't!

Yes, they do. They have a big bar and they also have bar service to you lounge chair if you like.

Yes, they have a small bar on the island - we brought our own beer (saved tons of money) in a cooler and just ordered a bucket of ice for $1

You are not allowed to take your own booze to the Island. I guess it is only a problem if you get caught.

I was going to mention the same - taking your own booze is prohibited. I am surprised they even let sungoddess on the boat with a cooler.

Okay, so I gather the island isn't a part of the all-inclusive? You have to pay for everything on the island?

Thanks for all of the responses so far!

The Island IS part of the A.I. (that is the good news, because booze is expensive there). You are not allowed to take your own booze to the Island.

It's an awesome island! We use to have to pay $50 aday to take the boat over, because we weren't staying at the hotel, We had a small cooler to take our lunch & some ??? Know one asked us about it. When you get off the boat and get to the walkway to the beach"right away" if you want topless optional turn right left is for families!! Go early to get a good pic of " free" chairs! Have a GREAT time!!! I loved my 5 times there over the last 10 years!! I wish I could still afford it.

i think the beaches lie the other way around.

Left is topless optional, right (where the bar is) is more family orientated
