The Amsterdam Manor is a small scale hotel and sits right next to the LaCabana Beach and Raquet Club and across from Eagle Beach. It is a very intimate property and those that have stayed there love it and return. Some say it's more of a European type property, since topless sunbathing is allowed. The pool area is small and there isn't much activity going on - but you can always wander over to LaCabana for constant activities, music, large pools, water slides or to order a pizza to each by the pool. Enjoy your trip - we look forward to our yearly Aruba get-away.

Amsterdam Manor is a fantastic hotel -- we've been back 3 times, including our honeymoon. We're going again in 3 weeks (Jan 05). The hotel is small, but that's part of its charm. You get to know the staff (and vice versa), and it's a very intimate, comfortable environment. The beach is fantastic, so much nicer than the beaches near the high rise hotels. If you're concerned about it being 'across the road' from the beach (we were originally), don't be -- the "road" is right on the edge of the resort and the beach is literally on the shoulder of the road... and it's not a busy road either. It's about a 20 second walk from beach chair to room. Highly recommended!

Thanks for your reply! We requested a "superior" studio...can you recommend any certain room number to request for best location (closest to ocean/best view...)?
