How do these two accommodations compare?
If we stay at SBV can we use the facilities at Ku?
Does SBV provide beach chairs, etc.

Both are nice -- Ku has been recently renovated but I think SBV is getting a fix-up as well. Both provide beach chairs although there is a thread somewhere (maybe another board) about Ku not having enough chairs in high season. Don't know what Ku facilities you're referring to -- it has a small store with Internet access that's open to the public and it has a restaurant & bar. As they're just a few yards apart on the same glorious beach, I would pick by price.
If you are able to get a one of the units at SBV that is right on the beach, I would definitely stay there. You have access to the bar and restarant at Ku, which is right on the beach and also Sanpiper Restaurant is on the other side of SBV. I think SBV has less rooms so it's just a little quieter and only 2 stories, but the two hotels are so close they seem like the same property. SBV has a pool in the courtyard and ku's seems to be a little more busy right by the bar.
