Ku. No comparison -- Ku has a bar, restaurant, shop, is on a beach with other bars & restaurants. Not even a close call. We've been going to the island for years & years and we go for weeks at a time -- we have an interest in spending a few days at the west end due to proximity to restaurants that we have grown to like over the years but for a first-timer --KU!! Plus, Meads Bay is often rough & has a strong undertow -- Shoal Bay East is calm, reef-protected, no undertow. KU.

Well, Marlong, it depends on what you want.

I prefer Turtle's Nest and Mead's Bay. But if you want lots of activity, bars and beach restaurants, then it's KU.

Maybe you could split your stay.
