Late return to AXA

On our annual escape from winter we have always wanted to have dinner in Marigot but as most of you know the last ferry makes this difficult. Do you think one of the private boats would come to marigot at say 9pm and take us back to Anguilla? if so, what is it likely to cost?

I honestly do not think this is feasible as the port will be closed and there will be no one to clear you through customs. There is talk that the private boats will soon be leaving from Simpson Bay as late as 11:pm, that would be great, but for now, I think you would need to overnight in SXM to have dinner in Marigot.

I agree with Ellen, and to be honest, a dinner in Marigot does not have to be a great dining experience.

Had a meal at the Chanteclair in the Marina some years ago. Tthe shrimp pasta is still talked about to this day. Maybe by the time we get there in Feb the situation may have changed.

Too bad. Back in 1989,,,, yep, that long ago, on our first trip to Anguilla, we ferried over to SXM for dinner. Had dinner at La Vie en Rose

Was perfect. A very memorable time. We were able to get a late ferry back over at that time, Think it was about 10Pm or so. They haven't done that in years.

Will never forget that first trip, and the SXM adventure.
