Allamanda Beach Club is on (quiet)"upper" Shoal Bay -a short walk down the beach to Uncle Ernie's, Shoal Bay Villas, etc. We stayed there a few years ago and found it a delightful place. Not luxury, but certainly nice, very clean and a real bargain. There is a lovely little pool and although it's not ON the beach, Shoal Bay Beach is only a couple of minutes' walk down Allamanda's little path. At the end of the path is Gwen's (excellent for lunch!). Zara's restaurant is right next to Allamanda and is a wonderful place for dinner; Chef Shamash is a gracious host and the food was exceptional (and reasonable for Anguilla). If you stay at Allamanda, we'd suggest the second or third floors for the view.
