Can anyone tell me if Altamer (the restaurant) is open to the general public. I had heard it closed as a public restaurant- we ate there on our last night and it was incredible.

It's a sales office now. Very sad.

I read that one of the three villas is now up for sale. Priced in sterling. Ouch!

One of the original 3 or one of the "proposed" new ones that will destroy Trattoria? And really, sterling??? (Of course, rumor has it that rubles will get you a bigger bang at Altamer.)

Check my post "Today's Sunday Times".

The Brazilian Emerald is for sale at Pound Sterling 10 m, and there is more info about the new 6 villas which are planned (and which I hope will still let TT stay as it is).

I am at Altamer right now and the restaurant is now closed altho someone said it reopened at another location. We have eaten at Straw Hat, Olivers, Zurra, Mangoes and Tasty's and have had really good dinners. Any other ideas?

Trattoria Tramonto,

it is just a few paces down the beach, great for lunch and dinners.

Never heard that Altamer opened in a new location.
