Will they pick up as well? - would be very nice to leave at the ferry terminal on our way out of town

There is limited parking at the ferry terminal now that there is construction on the new docks at Blowing Point. When I rented from Avis in January, the rental agent picked me up at my hotel and drove me to the ferry terminal. They used to allow ferry drop-off, but not any more. This is the new procedure. More often they will pick-up at the hotel and the guest takes a taxi to the ferry or airport.

DO NOT USE JUNIE'S CAR RENTAL. We just got home from Anguilla and received a charge for $500. That's in addition to the original $200+ charge we received for renting a car for the week.

We called Junie right away and he made up some excuse about a damage to the car. We said that the car was never damaged and he finally agreed to credit us the $500. This guy is so shady; he probably does this to other tourists thinking that he can get away with it (at least sometimes).

We checked the bank and he still hasnt credited us. In addition, we've been charged numerous bank fees for overdraft. This is getting to be a nightmare. So just wanted to warn everyone else.

We were in Anguillla in Feb and used Avis. Reserved it well before our trip. They delivered the car to the hotel which worked out well. They said to keep it until our departure and drive it right to the airport. Lock the keys in the glove compartment and you are off. We took two photos of it in the lot before we left, so there woudn't be a problem with something coming up later. Anguilla license is $20 for 90 days. We put on 700+ miles in two weeks on an island that is only 17 miles long. Yes we seen it all!

Are they strict about checking your drivers license?

If you fly into Anguilla you can walk to and from Island Car Rental from the airport and save a taxi fare or two.

We arrived via ferry, paid $20 to get to the villa, then left the car on the side of the road at Blowing Point when we left. This may be against the rules but we should not have to pay taxi fares just to keep taxi drivers in business.

We rented from Island Car Rental. Apparently they were OK with that.

I agree there is limited parking at Blowing Point.

I'm probably hari-karying myself for next year, oh well.

Do you get the temporary license from the car rental company?

I've always rented from Summerset with good results...they leave the car for us at the airport with keys in it.

We then leave car at hotel and take a taxi on the return.

Thinking about doing Avis this time...arriving via Ferry. There rates are better than Summerset for November.

It would be great if they let us leave car at ferry...still do this?

Avis told us to bring it back to the office last time & said they would take us to the ferry but there was no one there when we went so we left a note saying that they could get the car at the ferry -- no problem.
