Kings canyon late April

Hi

We are planning a trip for the end of April. We planned to spend two nights in and around kings canyon & sequoia before heading up to Yosemite for three nights. I am concerned however that snow may make spending thine in kings canyon/sequoia a waste of time. Can anyone advise?

King's Canyon itself is closed until sometime in May.

Grant Grove and the Giant Forest are open but the amount of snow is unknown until then.

Give them a call to see..........

Not a good time for hiking in the woods.....

I was just looking at some webcams in the Sierra.......

Looks like the snow is melting fast and almost gone around 7000 ft already.

Might be looking good in the Giant Forest by the end of the month if no other storms come through.
