Itinerary for 2 days, staying at Wuksachi

We're older so limited to shorter/easy hikes. We're arriving from SFO (approx 4 hours I believe) and have two nights booked at Wuksachi, then heading to LA afterwards. Other reviewers said Kings Canyon is not to be missed but might be too ambitious for a short trip? Also understand there are construction delays between Giant Forest Museum and Foothills.

Probably want to visit Giant Forest mainly, there are lots of short hikes through giant sequoia forest there.

To me, taking a slow pace through Sequoia and just getting and out and walking as much you can is the way to go. There's so much to experience, from the big to the small. An hour on Beatle Rock (across from the History Center) can be peaceful or revealing - the old forest nearby, with its downed logs, is a place where deer and bear still congregate. If you're quiet, the animals go back to what they were doing before you go there.

Moro Rock is great if you like going up and down what are essentially stairs. Crescent and Log Meadows are great for short or long walks. We like Redwood Canyon and the Muir Grove walk (longer) from Dorst...
