Weather late October

Planning a trip late October to San Francisco, LA and Grand Canyon. Was planning on going to Monument Valley but now thinking Bryce and Zion would be better as flying back from Vegas but wondering about road and weather conditions.

Road conditions should be fine. Temperatures will begin to get chilly, especially at high elevations like Bryce.

More importantly, how much time do you have for each of these three distinct destinations, and how to you pan to get between them?

Hi RedRox - I was hoping you'd come along and give advice. We have 16/17 days and are starting in SanFrancisco driving along the coast to LA and then across to Grand Canyon. So far the plan is 2 nights in SanFrancisco, 3 nights along the coast , 2 or 3 in La and then across to Grand Canyon. Having read some of your posts I'd like to travel via the Sedona area possibly staying in Flagstaff. I think LA to Flagstaff is too far in one drive so looking to break the journey. Settling now on going to from Grand Canyon to Bryce (and Zion if time allows) and then back to Vegas. We don't have any desire to see Vegas so that will be just going to the airport. We do realise that we'll be doing a lot of driving which we don't mind as long as we can stop to see things . We were a little concerned about road conditions around bryce as it will be late October but we are tied to school holiday times in the Uk
