Ideas for traveling to Santa Ana Pubelo with the kids

We are going to Sanat Ana Pubelo for our summer vacation this year with our kids - ages 10 and 9. Any ideas on attractions they may find interesting? We are staying at the Hyatt and will definitely do the Dude Ranch.

Staying at the Hyatt Tamaya Resort I assume. This is located north of Albuquerque a bit.

Visit Coronado State Monument, Albuquerque Bio Park (zoo, aquarium, botanic gardens), Sandia Tram. Also check with the pueblo to see if they are having a feast day or dance during you visit. http://www.santaana.org/calendar.htm

Also you can take the Railrunner train up to Santa Fe for a day visit. Quite fun with kids.

I am not sure what you mean - do you mean the real "pueblo"? It is a collection of houses spread out over the area. I guess you mean Santa Ana Pueblo Resort/Hyatt (which is run in cooperation with some pueblo residents).

The resort, which is quite lovely, is north of Bernalillo, which is north of ABQ. There are a few shops in Bernalillo and the Range Cafe has very good food there. You are midway between Albuquerque and Santa Fe (closer to ALB). You would be near the Sandia Tram which is worth a visit. You might also take a ride up highway 550 into Jemez Mountains for some nice red rocks and scenery (about 45 min north). There is also the Coronado State Monument, a small monument and gift shop dedicated to Coronado expedition.

The rest of the suggestions are the same as for Albuquerque and Santa Fe, each also 1/2 hr to 45 min, away. But the resort itself has lots of activitives for kids and adults.
