OK, arrived here early about 11/45 am, room not ready of course, headed over to the Grill to have a bite of lunch, nothing short of a glorious day with bright uninterupted sunshine and strong breeze. Lovely sitting at the Grill, buffalo wings, peruvuian ceviche and a tuna sandwiche, all very nice and I must say the food has been upgraded since September and the new chef coupled with the new GM Virginia, very noticeable difference in the food and it-s presentation. Walked around the pool and gazed at the beach, which is totally free of seagrass at this time and the water is very close to that perfect windex blue like down below in Cancun. many people in thwater. Still waiting for the beeper, wandered over to Toscana and decided to sit down and have a SMALL, YES SMALL TIDBIT of ice cream and so we also took a stroll through the buffet and again we both notice a definite upgrade of several notches in ALL the food and it-s presentation from September, again due to the new chef and Virginia, they said they were working on it last trip and there is definitely a noticeable difference.... ALMOST couldn.t resist trying the new linguine with shredded salmon at the pasta station or the lovely chicken with mole sauce accompanied by .... well can[t describe everything but it all looked wonderful, it all looked too good to resist, extremely difficult but we resisted, the SMALL ice cream we had "and of course the lunch we just scarfed down at the Grill" will have to do for now, will wait til dinner for more. Hanging out now in the club lounge waiting for the room to be ready any time now. Lovely to be back again.
