I have asked questions in this forum before. I am trying to plan about 8 weeks in total in the Greek islands in August, Septemberm without returning to islands I have already visited before such as Crete, Santorini, Kos, Zante, Samos but I am having problems streamlining the flow of islands.
We will start off in Corfu and then fly back to Athens, then I thought that I would visit Hydra (initially I thought 1 week) but have been told that I would be bored if I stayed a week in Hydra as there isnt anything much to do.
We are 60/70's enjoy exploring small alleys and quaint towns. Some shopping, people watching at lunch time over lunch, lively restaurants at night, perhaps calling in for another coffee or wine on the way home, staying out till midnight. Perhaps visiting other islands for the day by ferry if possible. I know that there arent any cars in Hydra so I dont know if we will find enough to do. Could we happily fill in a week, or could we spend some time on another island nearby that would interest us.
We will then head down to Ios, Paros and Mykonos.
However I am left with about 10 days that I dotn know what to do with as I can not easily link up with the other islands I wanted to visit like Rhodes and across to Maramis.
I dont want to cut the trip short by 10 days as we will then go to Positano to celebrate my birthday.
Please help with advice. There isnt a lot of recent information given on this forum.
I really need help
