Tips and Gifts at the Grand Pineapple

We are leaving on Feb 19 for the GPB and was wondering what kind of gifts we could leave for the maid . Since this our first visit to this island.

Example in Cuba they appreciate tooth brush and dental paste which is very expensive for them .

Do they have needs for some particular items . And do we tip at the bar and restaurant at the resort . Just want to be well informed before we leave

Antigua is not like Cuba. I would just tip in cash.

Cash tips for sure. Most goods are widely available on island. Gifts of stationery can be appreciated by those with children, but again, they're widely available, and money is more useful.

If you want to leave behind any toiletries, beachwear etc, that's fine, but make sure you leave a note to explain that you want your maid to have them as they could otherwise be accused of pilfering.

We also left money as suggested at GPB when we were there last year - we were directed to leave it in an envelope with the names of our Housekeepers and to give it to the head of housekeeping at the front desk.

We also left behind magazines, books and clothes the kids managed to outgrow while there - and as mizgeorge stated we put them in a little bag with a note stating they were for our housekeepers!
