Midland Hotel Nakuru

If anyone is looking for decent , reasonably priced accommodation in Nakuru then I recommend taking a look at the Midland Hotel in the town centre.

I have used it for many years but a visit in January this year was abysmal with surly staff, bad service and even worse food..At the time we complained to the Public Relations Manager who was visiting from Nairobi.

Last week we revisited and it was great to see the Midland Hotel of old. There had been a big management,restraunt/kitchen shake up and this time around the restraunt staff were pleased to serve us, the food was good and piping hot and the Garage Bar had been refurbished and the room rate for the new section was very reasonable. All in all a great experience again.

Visited for a meal last month. Food was good, service with a smile and good value for money. Lavatories were no better than my previous visit (2010) but worked OK! Recommended as a good stop off location if you in transit from Nairobi to the west. No comment on accommodation as we only stopped for a meal.

Glad you enjoyed the food. Its back to what it used to be and is unbeatable for value. Toilets are the same but used far far worse around the world.Overall not a bad hotel especially if on a budget and don`t want to pay $100 + per night

Generous 27m square, deluxe rooms have received a lovely makeover. Blackout. 4 poster luxury in solid mahogany. Mahogany floor or wall to wall deep pile Belgian carpets. Large granite vanity tops in bathrooms. Clean, sumptuous and easy to find. Get that feeling of well being without paying over the odds.
