Casino controlling slot machines from the offices.

I live close to this casino and visit it once every two months, as I don't have a lot of money to waste. Sadly, I have never won and always leave a donation. Today I played a quarter slot machine and started winning about every 4 or 5 times I pressed the button. I always play max bet. I wasn't winning hundreds, mind you, just $ 20.00 here or there. Then I started to win $ 10-$ 20 with every spin for about 8 spins. I was so excited because this never happens for me. I was really concentrated on my machine and blocked everyone out around me, I was in my own little world of excitement! All of a sudden an attendant came up to my machine and said that she had to put her card in my machine to fix what I called her for. I told her that I never pushed any button to call anyone. She said that the control room told her I called for help and apologized saying that they must have been mistaken, then insisted that she had to put Her card in my machine to clear it so that I can continue playing on. I thought that was suspicious because I knew I never called anyone for help and my machine didn't show that there was any reason I couldn't keep playing. I still wasn't wanting her to touch my machine and was really annoyed that she broke my concentration and rhythm I had going. She said that if I didn't let her put her card in, they would do it from the control room. I was shocked!!! That instantly made me even more suspicious that they can control these machines as to who wins and who loses! I had no choice but to let her do what she needed to do. Needless to say my machine started to go down hill from there and I lost $75 in less than 5 minutes.

I was convinced that they made my machine lose and I left angry!

When I got home I looked up on the computer if casinos could control the machines and came across an article that some casinos in Vegas do control these machines and it can be done in less than 20 seconds because they are computerized.

My question is, is this true? If so, I will never go to another casino again! I never win and have seen people who do win big. Over the years, I have lost hundreds of dollars at casinos all over the US and have never won more than $ 60. Why shouldn't I be mad about them cheating, they don't like it when people cheat them!

I'm pretty sure the word 'gamble' would give it away.

Debbie, they've gone away to their own site. Set up a blog too.

They thanked us for our hospitality before they left too. Remarkable!

Don't worry debbie.......I must've missed it too :)...in days of yore when the Mods moved posts from one forum to an other, they would announce it by leaving a post of their own....now they just dump the post elsewhere, and even though this is "Off topic" I still think it would be courteous to let us all know what's happening....
