iner railing itinerary?

Hi guys, any advice and help would be appreciated. My girlfriend and i are thinking of going interrailing next year we have a rough idea of where we would like to go, fly into Prague stay three nights then onto Vienna 2 nights, Bratislava 1 night, Budapest 2 nights, zagreb 1 night, rijeka 1 night, pula 2 nights, Venice 2 nights, verona 1 night, lake garda 2 nights, Milan 1 night, lake como 2 nights, zurich 2 nights, innsruck 2 nights and finally onto Munich. Are we being foolish in thinking this trip is possible?? Also is an inter rail 22 day continuous ticket our best option?? Please help!!!

This is total insanity. After you allow for packing up, checking out, travelling and checking in, 2 nights in a town really means only one day. If you spend just one night somewhere, you have almost no time to explore that place. You will spend most of this holiday just sitting in trains.

If you have 3 weeks, so not try to see more than 7 or 8 places as an absolute maximum.

Regarding the 22-day pass, as has been said in your other thread, you have to sit down and do the maths.

Glad you are re-assessing your foolish - (your word, you must have had an inkling) - ness.

'Any advise on "must see" places would be greatly appriciated' - At least navigate to the forums for the destinations when decided and look to the Top Questions, right of page. 'must sees' are subjective. For example, are you interested in retablos, which is one of my interests?

Looking at the original itinerary, some of the places are close enough together to consider a day trip. For example, Venice is an hour or so away from verona by train, and parts of Lake Garda are quite close to Verona. Similarly, Como and the south west end of Lake Como are around an hour at most from Milan.

By taking full day trips you can leave luggage in your accommodation and this would be a lot easier than being almost constantly having to carry your baggage around with you.
