Luggage that lasts?

Looking for 4 wheeled, lightweight (polycarbonate) check in luggage that will survive being thrown around as airport luggage handlers do. Comparing Rimowa, Samsonite and Eminent. All suggestions / advice greatly appreciated.

Although expensive, you'd better buy suitcase that possible A/S anywhere.

My Ricardo luggage had a wheel fall off after a 2 months and not very rough handling (I watch the handler moving it when it came off). That's okay...things break. The worst part is that Ricardo won't respond to enquiries.

They have an online warranty form, but nothing happened when I filled it out.

They have an online enquiry form, but nothing happened when I filled that out.

They have an email, but did not respond to that.

They have a phone, but did not answer that.

They have an answering machine, but did not return my call.

I would avoid Ricardo luggage completely. I does break and the company's customer service is terrible.
