Excursions for disabled

My dad is considering going to Tenerife Playas de la Americas with his wife next year. She is a wheelchair user due to a stroke leaving her unable to walk.

Does anyone know of any excursions/places to visit that might be suitable.

He also looked at booking with enable holidays but that could cost £400+ more than if he booked with Thomas cook.

You should also ask on the Tenerife forums.

If she is able to get into a car it might be worth renting a car since it is difficult to keep up with a tour group in a wheelchair and many coaches have several steps to get into - it is easier to go at your own pace with a car.
