Does the UK Radar key to disabled toilets work in Europe?

I know there is a European key but is it the same as the Radar key people use in the UK or a different one?

If it's a different one does anyone know how/where to buy one and any idea of price?

Thanks

Don't know if you made your trip already but anybody searching maybe will benefit from this info:

In Europe (mainly Germany, Austria) there is a standard key called Euro Key. So far there has been 9000 toilets fitted with this locksystem. You can order it on the website http://www.cbf-da.de. They will requier a proof of your dissability by a copy of your handicap parkingcard. If you do not have one sometimes a written doctorsstatement will be ok. Price on their website is 18 euro for the key. There is a guidebook with a register of all toilets with this lock called Der Locus, also available on their website.

If you travell to Holland i can recommend to aim for McDonalds restaurants when traveling, they have better toilets compaired to many gasstations. Many places have the handicaptoilet locked, usually you can ask for a key at the register or reception of the place you are.

Dee is right, you're more likely I think to find the disabled toilet locked and have to ask the cashier - upside is that the toilet is usually very clean, seeing much less traffic than the others!

McDs is a very good recommendation and here in Poland they're usualy pretty new buildings so they have good access. PL in general is not yet very wheelchair friendly - there's a lot of work still to be done and some if it will simply never happen - we see rows of shops with entries down or up 8-10 steps. But McDs, KFC, shopping malls, Orlen gas stations, all good for disabled loos.
