Looking for all inclusive accessible holiday in Europe

Hi, i've just found this forum and hope someone here can help me. I'm a 30 year old wheelchair user and i'm looking at going on a package holiday abroad in late September/early October, preferably to somewhere like Cyprus, Egypt or Canary Isles. I will be travelling with my parents (who are both able bodied). I've looked on other websites, but so far have only found self catering, B&B and accommodation only (no flight included) holidays, when I would like to go all-inclusive with flight included. After an awful experience with Thomas Cook I really don't think i'll get very far with the larger tour operators, but of course if anyone has had a good experience with any company in particular, please let me know. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks!

I think you will get a bettter response if you post your question on the forum for each destination. It would also be more helpful if you decide which resort in each of the places interest you the most. I know the Canaries have accessible resorts.

If you don't wish to tavel with a tour operator then it is easy to package the holiday yourself. Make sure you do plenty of reseach and choose somewhere that is oing to be suitable for you.

Thanks for your reply and advice given, I will try posting in the individual forums. I'm still going through so much stress trying to sort this out - it's extremely irritating that I can't just go into a travel agent and book a holiday like everyone else! I'm a bit disappointed that no one else responded to this thread, after my initial excitement at having found a disabled traveller's forum. Oh well! Thanks anyway.

Hello,

These are 2 Belgian travel agencies that offer package holidays.

Their websites are in Flemish only, but I'm quite sure that if you call them or send them an email they will be able to make some suggestions.

Hi Mustang ,

I use a wheelchair and find Jet2 very good .I also use this site for choosing hotels .I dont book with them but you could do, and maybe it would save you all the stress.

I usually stick to Spain and her islands as I find they have the most dropped kerbs , ramps etc. If you want more information about certain resorts just ask me.

If some day you want to consider Portugal here are 2 companies http://www.accessibleportugal.com/en/; http://www.ngtours.com.pt/aboutus.html; and there are many beaches that are classified as accessible (in 2012 they were 184).

I've not personally been there (yet!) but there's a resort in the Austrian Alps that is all-inclusive and well-equipped for travelers with disabilities:
