Can i go traveling on virtually £0 if i work on the road?

I'm looking to go traveling (vegabonding) ASAP. i don't have a lot of money and i will try to do it on the tightest budget ever! I probably have £3000 spending money. I want to start in Australia fruit picking for a little while, then carry on working and traveling my way around! Trying to earn extra cash! After a few months I'll try and get myself to thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, & china! I don't know if it possible but I'm willing to give it a try!!! You always hear about people doing it on a shoe string "why can't I?"

Has anybody got any ideas?? even just a chat to hear your opinion would be nice!

Just make sure that you have the right visas - Australia is pretty strict, for instance. And unless you are a qualified teacher of English, I cannot imagine that you will be able to earn much in Vietnam and so forth. The other side of the same coin is, presumably, your lack of the local languages.

And please don't go without the proper travel insurance. An accident in the far east could be a financial disaster.

It all sounds a bit far fetched and 50 years or so too late.

FOREVER!lol I haven't got any ties here so I'm thinking of doing it until I feel its time to get a real job and settle down, that could be 3 months to 3 years!

obviously you think 3grand isn't a budget??

I hate to burst your bubble, but I don't think it is on... 3K is great to start. You need to get someplace, wherever you want to start (think about 1K more or less) then when you get there you need an address so you can get hired - can you legally work in these countries? Most of your income will be spent on rent, trying to find a decent place to live on what will likely be low wages... there are hostels & internet sleep-on-a-couch deals that might help. If you go, good luck and keep us posted! I would have loved to do something similar, back when I was young and strong!

I don't think you have anywhere near enough money.

I assume that your airfare is already accounted for.

Working in Australia, you need to have a working visa.

Australia is a very expensive country.

You might be OK if you just did Asia.

Best of luck though, I hope you make it.
